GIVE.
ADVOCATE.
VOLUNTEER.

Living united means being a part of change.United Way of Ellis County focuses on creating long lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of problems. We don't just address the symptoms of a problem, we go deeper to get at the underlying causes. It takes everyone in our community working together to create a brighter future. Together, we can accomplish more than any single group can on its own. Give. Advocate. Volunteer. LIVE UNITED.

LIVE UNITED

It is more than just a slogan.
It is intentional movement towards an even stronger community.  Through the charity and commitment of many
Ellis County citizens, the United Way of Ellis County funded 21 programs in 2008. We have a tremendous opportunity and responsibility to impact lives of those around us.  Just as a pebble creates ripples in a still body of water, your commitment of dollars, time and voice to the United Way creates a ripple effect in your community.

For the past few years, United Way has been working toward a more proactive approach to address critical issues; we call this Community Impact.  The United Way has aligned with community leaders, social service professionals, business persons and members of the general public to discuss, research and understand conditions in our community today that, if left to continue, will prove to be exhausting of our human, financial and other resources.  These early efforts of the Community Impact Task Force and United Way of Ellis County have targeted programs that lead to: financial stability of households; and the inclusion and diversity of all members of the community.

But we need your help, your perspective. We want to be sure to address these and other conditions with a well-planned, well-implemented strategy so as to create lasting change for our community.

Supporting United Way, you will benefit from joining thousands of others in uniting and mobilizing community resources.  Go to LIVEUNITED.us to learn how you can GIVE, ADVOCATE and VOLUNTEER.  On the site you can:

·        pledge monetarily to help us reach our 2009 campaign goal of $467,000

·        check out how you can advocate for United Way

·        find information on United Way’s Community Impact areas

·        join our blog and offer your perspective on any number of community issues affecting lives in Ellis County at voice@liveunited.us

GIVE, ADVOCATE, VOLUNTEER—LIVE UNITED.  It’s a way of life, a life worth working towards.  Make a ripple.  Or make a wave.

Thank you for your support of United Way of Ellis County.
